...They're coming... to nest ! ;)

                                                                                                                                 3rd June 2007

It's this time of the year when things get crazy in Greece. We have now 15 turtles here at the rescue center, divided in 12 loggerheads and 3 greens.

3 braves volunteers are here to treat them : Odyle, Kyle and Erin.

Georgia is getting ready to go. She have been eating all she can get and has a nice tag on her right flipper. She arrived on the 4th of November with a head injury. No she happily swimming around impatient to get out of here.

I have officially a home in Athens. I live in a nice area about 20 minutes away from the center. I will become a more "normal " person with a postal address and a 9 to 5 kind of  job.  But you know me I still spend more time at the center than at my place.  All the summer project are operating now. The first nest was in Zante (Zakynthos) follow by Kiparissia (Kip).

Today I hear there has been some emergences in Crete (both in Chania and Rethimno). Go Chania Go !! Crete's first nest will be very soon

Neal was over for a few days to pick up his stuff and a volunteer.  They will be based in Gytheio (Peloponnese).

Many birthdays : Emil (02/06), Odyle (03/06) and Kyle (05/06)... Have a good one, you all!

Alan should be over here in a few days.

Judith is back in Zakynthos to put no less than 10 transmitters on turtles.

Heat has just kicked in and it should be very hot this summer.

Take care

B Cool  ! B Good !
