Dear All,
I have been
offered to stay longer at the rescue center as volunteer coordinator.
Money is always good. Since my latest update many changes have occurred.
Tereza left. So long...
Cornelia and Kasia
are still with us working hard everyday. Kasia is our new tube feeding
master. She even dreams about it. Cornelia is trying her best to teach us
the "Swiss" way of doing things.
Mia showed up. Being
half Belgium half Italian, we communicate in random languages. Good day,
Mate !!! The fish shop guy loves her. We get more fish for the turtles.
Great stuff !!
Niki is our "Boss".
She is a very enthusiastic and dedicated person. Juggling between the center
and her studies, she tries to come as often as possible.
Martin and his sister
Andrea (long term vollies) have returned from Zakynthos. Welcome back !!
Vera (the turtle) has
been with us from April 2005 is ready to go back to the "Big" tank
(also known as the sea) She will be fitted with a transmitter so we can
follow her moves. I still believe that she is a male because a small tail is
sticking out of her carapace.
We had the nice
surprise to see Shirley pop up on Saturday. She will be with us for 4
weeks before returning to her "other" half. She got engaged a month before
coming out. I hope you enjoy your time with us.
I guess I should
mention "Our" 6 Mormons. 2 of them come around 3 times a week to help us.
Thanks a lot guys, your help is precious...
Stay tuned for
more...
Hoping you are all
well and happy :)
