Injured turtles never seem to stop arriving these days... We sent Theodora to the aquarium of Crete. Yannis and Christina were released back into the sea (Yeah !!).

But we received a whole bunch of new ones. We are looking after 22 loggerheads and 1 green. Dias, the green, has been moved to the big tank. He seen very happy about that and we hope to free him very soon.

Amalia, a cute little loggerhead has been transferred to a medium size tank. She is diving loads and managing to eat from the bottom.

Vassilis, one of out old residents has also been move to a bigger tank today and we hope he'll improve.

Volunteers come and go as usual : Emily and Kim have decided to come back for another couple of weeks. Amanda and Catherine, both from New York have come aboard for a month. Zoe and Megan have also arrived to help us carry out treatments and feeding.

Anna (our last EVS) and Miguel her boyfriend, are staying over for a few day before leaving for new adventures.

Erin (June volunteer) came in for a night to visit before returning to her husband in Germany. Bruno as other volunteers from the summer program stop on their way out to see our patients.

The weather is supposed to cool down but no sign that the heat wave is over yet. Many fires have burnt down what was once the beautiful forest of Greece. Over 60 people have perished in the flames. Animal, especially wild ones have also died in the fires.

Take Care, Don't forget about us

Stay in touch ! B good !
